The project Archipiélago Oeste was created with the aim of connecting and making visible the young artists and the most relevant museums of three Mediterranean islands: the FRAC Corse (Corsica), the MAN, the Art Museum Provincia di Nuoro (Sardinia) and Es Baluard Museu d'Art Modern i Contemporani de Palma (Mallorca).
It was inaugurated in November 2017 in Corti (Corsica) with a sextilingual title exhibition (Archipiélago Oeste / Arxipèlag Oest / Arxipel Ouest / Arcipelagu Punenti / Arcipelago ovest / Arcipèlagu Punente).
Now, in the Observatori de Es Baluard, the project is inserted in the Balearic reality with a review of the selected projects: Arantxa Boyero (Mallorca), Roberto Casti (Sardinia), Mimi Enna (Sardinia), Guillem Portell (Mallorca), Pauline Rognoni (Corsica) and Alexandra Villani (Corsica).
