According to the reference magazine Down beat, Artemis was the best jazz group of the year 2023. This 100% female collective has published its new work In Real Time, praised by the specialized press and which they are now presenting at the 30th edition of the Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla festival.
The name Artemis is inspired in honor of the Greek goddess, daughter of Zeus and twin sister of Apollo. It is the name of the first female jazz supergroup that the history of this music has known. Their latest published work is In Real Time, where they activate Jazz without borders in a collective voice and a visionary approach.
Artemis is made up of Renee Rosnes (piano and Fender Rhodes), Ingrid Jensen (trumpet), Nicole Glover (tenor sax), Noriko Ueda (double bass) and Allison Miller (battery).
