With two years old, Apol·lònnia already sang in the rehearsal room with her father, who was her first teacher. At the age of 13, she earned her elementary degree in clarinet and later in percussion. She also plays guitar and piano, and has been part of several bands, such as Pirates Pirats.
Maria Cinta was born in Barcelona and began her artistic career at age 12, coinciding with the beginnings of the Nova Cançó movement along with Joan Manuel Serrat, Raimon, etc. At age 20 she discovered Brazilian music, of which she was a pioneer in its interpretation and dissemination in Catalonia. She has recorded eight albums, seven in Catalan and one in Spanish.
In 2016 these two artists joined together and from their work resulted the album Apol·lònia canta Maria Cinta, which is now presented at the Auditori l'Esponja de Ses Salines.
