Father Francesc Palou (Petra, 1723, Mexico City, 1798) accompanied Junipero Serra in his adventure evangelizing in America and became his biographer. Now when is marked 300 years of the birth of the Franciscan the book Relación histórica de la vida del Venerable Padre Fray Junípero Serra y de las misiones que fundó en la California septentrional y nuevos establecimientos en Monterrey (Historical Relation of the life of the Venerable Father Junipero Serra and the missions he founded in Northern California and new settlements in Monterrey is republished), a biography written by Palou in 1787.
The book is edited by the Vice President of Culture, Heritage and Sport of the Council of Mallorca and is presented in this act in La Misericordia.
