Antònia Font, Manel and Txarango

Three of the most cutting edge groups come together tonight at the stage set up in the Parc de n'Hereveta Porreres: Antonia Font, Manel and Txarango.

The Mallorcan quintet Antonia Font, finalists in the 5 Independent Music Awards in the category of best Spanish artist, will present their latest album, Vosté és aquí (2012). The band led by Joan Miquel Oliver (guitar) is further formed by Pau Debon (voice), Manel Pere Debon (drums), Joan Roca (bass) and Jaume Manresa (keyboards).

For its part, the Catalan pop group Manel present their third and latest album, Atletes, baixin de l’escenari (2013). This famous phrase was pronounced in off by the recently deceased Constantino Romero at the closure of the Barcelona 92 Olympic Games, when athletes from various delegations took the field during the performance of Peret and Los Manolos.

Also Catalan the group Txarango proposes a fusion with reggae music as a vital axis and references of dub, pop, cumbia and salsa. They have released two albums, the latest in 2012 which is entitled Benvinguts al llarg viatge.
