The 4th Festival Mallorcòpera presents this production that brings together selections from the opera La Traviata, by Giuseppe Verdi. With musical direction by Maria Victòria Cortès and stage direction by Eugenia Corbacho, Núria Vilà (soprano), José Manuel Sánchez (tenor), Lluís Sintes (baritone) and Francesc Blanco (piano) take part.
La Traviata is an opera in three acts with music by Giuseppe Verdi and libretto in Italian by Francesco Maria Piave based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas (son) The Lady of the Camellias, published in 1852. Originally titled Violetta, the name of the main character, it is apparently based on the life of a Parisian courtesan.
