'Androids in the woods', by Toni Amengual

With this photographic project, which is now shown at the Centre Cultural la Misericòrdia de Palma Toni Amengual won the first Premi Mallorca de Fotografia Contemporània 2018, prize created by the Consell de Mallorca.

The exhibition Androids in the woods consists of 9 photographs taken by the artist in December 2017 in Haukijärvi (Finland), where he launched a project to discover what is behind the avatars that are created in the most famous dating network in the world.

It also includes, among other things, a small audiovisual piece with photographs and videos of the environment, screenshots and a series of family portraits. A combination that wants to deepen the idea of the search for love and the romantic concept of couple and family.
