The Spanish organist Andrés Cea Galán offers this concert in the parish church of Sant Andreu. It will be a very special occasion to listen to this prestigious interpreter play on an organ built in 1762 by the Mallorcan Jordi Bosch (1739-1801) who is unique in his genre for the majesty and at the same time the poetry of his voices and his advanced technology.
Andrés Cea Galán divides his professional activity between interpretation, musicological research and teaching. He trained in Spain, France and Switzerland, and is a doctor from the Complutense University of Madrid.
Due to his ever-renewed vision of the repertoire, he is very often invited as a soloist, teacher and lecturer at festivals and academic institutions throughout Europe, South America, Mexico and Japan. He has made several recordings distinguished by specialized critics and also works regularly as a consultant on organ restoration projects for various organizations officers.
Cea Galán is a professor of Harmony and Analysis at the Cristóbal de Morales Professional Conservatory of Music in Seville, a corresponding academic at the Luis Vélez de Guevara Royal Academy of Sciences, Arts and Good Letters and president of the Instituto del Órgano Hispano.
