In September 2012, a very young Andrea Motis (Barcelona, 1995) reached the Teatre d'Artà with Catalan musician Joan Chamorro. The singer, trumpeter and saxophonist, who by then had already recorded three albums and participated in a hundred jazz festivals, appeared as one of the latest revelations of jazz.
Now she returns to Mallorca with the Jazz Voyeur Festival to present her first solo album, Emotional dance at the XI Cool Days Festival. Recorded in New York and edited by the legendary record label Impulse! Records (founded by John Coltrane), it was produced by Jay Newland and Brian Bacchus, known for his work with Norah Jones and Gregory Porter.
