In September 2012, a very young Andrea Motis (Barcelona, 1995) reached the Teatre d'Artà with Catalan musician Joan Chamorro. The singer, trumpeter and saxophonist, who by then had already recorded three albums and participated in a hundred jazz festivals, appeared as one of the latest revelations of jazz.
Motis returns to Mallorca with her first solo album, Emotional dance. Recorded in New York and edited by the legendary record label Impulse! Records (founded by John Coltrane), it was produced by Jay Newland and Brian Bacchus, known for his work with Norah Jones and Gregory Porter.
Together with his mentor Joan Chamorro (double bass and saxophone), the trio is completed with Josep Traver on guitars.
The concert is part of the Sons de Nit Música i Patrimoni cycle.
