Cuban cellist and composer Ana Carla Maza presents her music in trio format and introduces us fully to the colorful universe of her recent album Caribe. She is another of the proposals of the 30th edition of the Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla festival.
Born in Havana into a family of musicians, Ana Carla Maza has experienced music since she was very young, being a student of Míriam Valdés, daughter of Bebo Valdés.
In 2024, her discography already has four albums. In Caribe, the composerbuilds a declaration of love for Latin America, music and strong female figures. A hymn to the joy of living, an ode to hope and a very personal work in which she alternates her feminine sensitivity and the color of Latin jazz.
