Within the European Day of Jewish Culture Ana Alcaide offers a concert of medieval, traditional and Sephardic music. Born in Madrid (1976), she sings and plays viola de teclas, an instrument of Swedish origin.
Presented will be La Cantiga del fuego( The Cantiga of fire), third work of this composer and interpreter that precisely this August has reached the third place in the World Music Charts of Europe, a list that includes the best albums of the genre of world music made with the feedback of specialists and music critics.
The work is inspired by the city of Toledo and the serfardíes journey, and was produced and published independently by herself last May. Throughout her career she has recorded other albums like Viola de teclas(2006), Como la luna y el sol(Like the moon and the sun) (2007-2008) and a DVD compilation titled Ana Alcaide en concierto.
In case of rain, the concert will be moved to teatre Xesc Forteza. Information: 010.
