Alphaville

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Forever Young (1984), the German band Alphaville is on a world tour, landing at the Port Adriano Music Festival.

The album with which the group debuted, led by vocalist Marian Gold, featured songs such as Forever Young or Big in Japan, which became huge hits. For the first time, Alphaville is visiting Mallorca as part of its tour and its concert will include songs from the album, as well as other songs that brought them success such as Dance With Me or I Die For You Today.

Alphaville is a Synth pop and new wave band that was very popular in the 1980s. Its initial name was Forever Young, and its history begins in Münster, in the early 1980s. It was formed in 1982 with three key members: Marian Gold (lead vocals), Bernhard Lloyd (keyboards and backing vocals) and Frank Mertens (keyboards and percussion).

Inspired by the growing electronic music scene of the time, and artists such as Kraftwerk and David Bowie, the band ventured into creating their own sound, contributing significantly to the evolution of electronic music. Their focus on synthesizers, layers of sound, and introspective lyrics influenced a generation of musicians who immersed themselves in electronic synthesis.
