Alpha Blondy

This reggae singer from Ivory Coast headlines the new edition of Mallorca Roots Festival. It is held at the site of Son Fusteret with a very eclectic program in which besides music other disciplines such as dance, theater and visual arts are present.

With over thirty years of experience and a dozen albums released, Alpha Blondy is one of the most popular singers in West Africa. Some of his songs have become anthems such as Jerusalem, Cocody Rock, Masada and Brigadier Sabari or Apartheid is Nazism.

The evening will also feature performances of the Madrid group Canteca de Macao(flamenco, rumba, reggae), the Mallorcans Dinamo (latin ska) and Portuguese Dani Lança, accompanied by his Barcelona Street Orkestra (reggae, hip hop and African rumba ).
