Alfa Mist

Jazz in the UK is going through an exceptional moment, with a generation of artists pushing the genre forward in an extraordinary way. The 28è Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla joins this exciting movement with the presence of Alfa Mist, one of the most prominent musicians on the current London jazz scene.

Alpha Mist is one of Herbie Hancock's most eminent disciples. In 2017 he surprised everyone with the release of his debut album Antiphon, and since then his career has been on the rise. His third and last album is Bring Backs (2021). his music is situated in alternative soul, hip hop and electronic jazz.

Alpha Sekitoleko (vocals and keyboards), Sam Rapley (saxophone), Jamie Leeming (guitar), Kaya Thomas-Dyke (bass and vocals) and Nathan Shingler (drums).

The Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla festival, organized by the Culture Department of the Sa Pobla City Council, is one of the most anticipated events for jazz lovers on the island. The 28th edition is held from July 26 to August 23, 2022 and schedules an opening concert in Plaza Major and four in Parc de Can Cirera Prim.

In addition to the concerts, the festival hosts the 17th Traveling School Play Jazz seminar, from August 12 to 14 at the Sa Congregació Cultural Center, the Literature and Jazz cycle and the photography exhibition Et regalo la meva mirada by Josep Lluís Luna, which will be shown outdoors at Parc de Can Cirera Prim from August 2nd to 23rd.
