In 1998, Augustín 'El Casta' began his solo career creating characters that today are the trademark of this showman difficult to classify. Characters like Lorenzo Llamas (the Mallorcan latin lover who did the tunnel of Sóller on his own), Klaus Kartoflen (German resident who wants to integrate) or Don Diablo (the chief demon of carnal sins on Earth).
The key to the success of the humor of Agustín 'El Casta' is that he treats the themes and issues of all residents of the island of Mallorca (Mallorcans or not) seen from the psychology of an islander, understanding humor as the best vehicle for communication and therapy for modern living.
