Born in Madrid in 1967, Agustín Carbonell 'Bola' is a composer and guitarist from a family of great flamenco tradition. His father, the cantaor Agustín Montoya, and his uncle, dancer Eduardo Serrano 'El Guito' are just two examples of his genetic fingerprint.
From a very young age he has been looking for new horizons in his music, which led him to be one of the cornerstones of today's flamenco. In recent years he has been devoted to a research and study project on the maestro Ramón Montoya, key artist in the history of the guitar of the twentieth century.
The result is a book and an album titled El Sueño de Don Ramón Montoya, now presented in the Sala Dante in Palma together with several flamenco artists from Mallorca.
