On September 7 will start the popular festivities in honor of the Majorcan missionary Fra Juníper Serra, born almost 300 years ago in Petra. Among the activitiesof the program stand out the climb from Petra to Bonany by foot or a lantern parade.
Next year marks the third anniversary of the birth of this Mallorcan Blessed so the Consell de Mallorca has declared 2013 Year of Fra Juníper Serra, this is the reason publications, films and guided tours of the town, among other activities, are already being prepared.
