The film covers the places the journalist, novelist , essayist and playwright lived in or visited : the poor neighborhood of his native Algeria , the cloister of Sant Francesc in Palma , the beautiful enclaves of Tipasa and Djemila ( Algeria ) Paris cafes frequented and even the charming cemetery of Lourmarin in the French Provence where he is buried.

The writer was born on November 5, 1913 in Algeria , when the country was a French colony . And he died in a tragic car accident in the French Provence on January 4, 1960, three years after receiving the Nobel Prize for Literature. This year marks the centenary of his birth.
