Oranges are the quintessential product of the municipality of Sóller, a citrus fruit which acquires in this fertile valley of the Sierra de Tramuntana the category of delicacy. This fair and days of the orange offer a chance to experience it in situ as well as the different forms of savoring it, with tastings of juices and beverages, with sweet and savory snacks.
The fair is celebrated on Sunday April 19th and days from 20 to May 3. To these have been added restaurants of Soller, Port of Soller and the neighboring Fornalutx, offering tasting menus of three and four plates which have as an ingredient the orange.
It's worth going to Soller in its famous wooden train, leaving from Palma. Its course crosses the Sierra de Tramuntana and offers beautiful panoramic views hard to find elsewhere.
