2ª Oktoberfest Marratxi

The Oktoberfest is a festival celebrated between the months of September and October in Munich and is the busiest of all Germany, in addition to one of the most visited worldwide. It originated in 1810 during the wedding of Prince Ludwig of Bavaria to Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. Such was the success that it has been celebrated every year and to date has only been canceled, for major causes, on 24 occasions.

This year, the German couple Steffi and Gisbert Joseph, based in Mallorca for two decades, brings back the essence of the Oktoberfest in their Local nº2, a cafe located in the commercial area of Sant Marcal (Marratxí). To do this they will have one of six licensed brands to produce beer Oktoberfest, the original Spaten, plus two unique brands of German beer specialties: Franziskaner and Früh Kölsch. This precious liquid will be served in pitchers and half liter.

In addition to beer,  onthis Oktoberfest one can taste dishes of German cuisine such as pork knuckle, the famous white sausages with sweet mustard, potato dumplings, bagels with salt, red homemade sausages with sauerkraut, or traditional meatloaf. And all enlivened with authentic music of the Munich Oktoberfest.
