The Acadèmia 1830 Orchestra is a flexible and variable instrumental formation of young professional musicians from Majorca of first musical level. Its versatility allows it to approach from Beethoven's great symphonic repertoire, in the baroque and classical tradition, the great romantic repertoire, to the music of the 20th century.
Acadèmia 1830 gave the presentation concert in April 2011 at the CapdePera Auditorium, with a monograph on Beethoven's works, with Andreu Riera as guest soloist. In these years it has established itself as a musical reference group on the island, with great acceptance by the public and specialized critics.
Especially praised were the productions of tangos by Astor Piazzola and El amor brujo by Falla (2013), the Passion according to Saint John by Bach (2014), the Great Mass in C minor by Mozart with the Markus Chor of Munich (Festival Música Mallorca 2014 ) or Mozart's Requiem with the Davidic Chapel of Ciutadella (2018).
In the 100% Estiu cycle, they present Monographic W.A. Mozart, with a program made up of concert Arias and the 41st Jupiter Symphony. Conducted by José Ferreira Lobo, the soprano Quiteria Muñoz performs as soloist.
