Through the eyes of Joan Bennàssar (Pollença, 1950) we will participate in the long journey that has brought the painter from Pollença to translate his extensive artistic experience in a collection of images dedicated to the history of wine in the Mediterranean, and especially to the viticulture of the Balearics.
This volume, given as a collectible by the newspapers Ultima Hora and Diari de Balears, was the origin of a splendid exhibition in Es Baluard, in which the artist presented a selection of paintings and works on paper about wine.
Bennàssar is a painter and sculptor of repute who since the 80's experiments with figurative and abstract languages. His work is full of autobiographical poetic and literary references.
