‘Una altra persona’

The Valencian company Teatre Círculo presents Una altra persona (Another Person), a text by Irene Klein Fariza directed, adapted, and written by Cruz Hernández, performed by Beatriz Fariza and Nef Martínez.

Una altra persona addresses the conflict that a caregiver faces when caring for the father who abused her and her mother. The text is spoken by the daughter, but which nevertheless reflects the granddaughter's words and the conflicts within the family structure.

A granddaughter who doesn't understand how her mother cares for a grandfather who has always despised them. A granddaughter, a daughter of her time, which also means a daughter of the estrangement of aging and death as integral parts of life. A daughter who retains the memory of the good times of her childhood with her father. A daughter whose relationships with men have been conditioned by her relationship with her father.
