The Ballet de Moscú staged this Christmas classic. The Nutcracker is a fairy tale-ballet in two acts and three scenes of Russian composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893), who put music to the adaptation that Alexander Dumas (the father) did the story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King , Ernest Hoffmann.
