The plays The Marchioness of Larkspur Lotion and Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen are two of the undisputed gems of 20th-century theater written by Tennessee Williams. A marquise addicted to insecticide, a writer who doesn't write, flying cockroaches, and lovers trying to love each other while starving to death.
These are discarded characters who defend themselves as best they can from a world they don't understand and who reflect the quintessence of Williams's talent like no other. Thanks to his talent and sense of humor, they become literally unforgettable characters in his hands.
The show is completed with an entremés, or interlude, written by María Ruiz and Cristina Medina, in which an actress on stage battles with Tennessee Williams's characters, including the lovely marquise she has just played.
Directed and edited by María Ruiz, the play features Cristina Medina, Rebeca Torres, and Eleazar Ortiz. Language: Spanish.
