Juan Santamaria brings to life a social outrage, an unemployed graduate of philosophy and literature, facing the manipulative powers to survive, a monologue in which this versatile man gives the necessary, humorous note to such a dramatic theme. Journalist, actor, writer, theater director and chef, this Mallorcan residing in Salamanca has had a lengthy career in theater, film and television. He has worked under such notable figures of theater as Jose Tamayo, Jaime Azpilicueta or Fernando Fernan Gomez.
In 2008 he created his own company, El Andamio Producciones Teatrales, , with which he now presents his monologue Si no lo digo reviento ( If I don’t say it I’ll bust). It premieres in Palma, and will then tour through most of the Spanish geography. The tour kicks off October 11 at the Teatro Arenal in Madrid.
