This cantata of seven-movements is a Mallorcan choral work with original music by Miquel Brunet and text by Jaume Santandreu. It premiered at the Conservatory of Palma in March 2006, and a year later won the Premi Desembre 31 (Award December 31) granted by the Obra Cultural Balear (Balearic Cultural Work).
Rua Fosca is considered as a reference work for choir singing in Catalan and highlights its social background, as it is dedicated to the millions of children worldwide who barely survive on the streets.
In this concert, the music will be performed by the Banda de Música de Manacor.
