The prison camp in the Levante Natural Park is the setting for this production that the company Miquel Barcelona presents at the Cool Days Festival 2023.
The representation of Rojos is based on a search for testimonies from the post-war period of the Spanish Civil War and the recovery of the cultural and artistic legacy in the form of a scenic piece. The show wants to value the memory of dramatic events for a generation, clandestine life during the repression that took place after the war through artistic figures, creative women and the homosexual movement, and link the present with the postwar period.
The contemporary dance company Miquel Barcelona understands artistic practice as a tool for social transformation with 5 axes of interest: territory, memory, sustainability, education and audience generation. Capacity limited to 120 people.
