The second concert of the 2012-2013 season of the Foundation Studium Aureum is dedicated to the works of Beethoven, specifically the sonatas for violin and piano Spring and Kreutzer. It will be carried out by two renowned performers on the island, the pianist Andreu Riera and violinist Gerard Claret.
This concert starts a cycle that aims to bring chamber music closer to the public of Mallorca. To do this have been chosen two works by the great German composer: Sonata Op 24 no. 5 'Spring' and Sonata Op. 47 no. 9, which Beethoven composed in 1802 and dedicated to the French violinist Rodolphe Kreutzer (1766-1831), who never got to play it, considering it 'impossible to interpret'.
