'La mujer de negro'

Emilio Gutiérrez Caba directs and interprets alongside Ivan Massagué, this play based on the novel by Sussan Hill. Published in 1983 and adapted by Stephen Mallatratt, La mujer de negro  (The woman in black) has been continuously represented over a quarter century on the London stages, being - after The Mousetrap  of Agatha Christie -.the second longest performing stage production.

This adaptation seamlessly blends the horror story with the intensity of theater. It tells the story of Arthur Kipps, a lawyer who hires the services of a professional actor to help recreate an event of his life that haunts him.

The production plays with the sensationalism of lighting with candles, the music of a horror movie and the ghostly figure of a woman in black, who will shake even the most daring spectator with fear.
