Last concert of the 2016 Season of the Musical Evenings in the Church of Deià. Studium Aureum dedicates the program to the works of the contemporary composer Ola Gjeilo (1978). Directed by Carles Ponseti, perform works for soloists, choir, piano and string quartet.
Program The coral modernity: Ubi caritas (for choir and piano), Madison (for cello and piano), The Ground (for choir, string quartet and piano), Across the vast, eternal sky (for choir, string quartet and piano), Tundra (for soloist, female choir, string quartet and piano), Sacred Heart (for chorus and string quartet), The Hudson (for cello and piano), Dark Night of the Soul (solo, choir, string quartet and piano), Luminous Night of the Soul (solo, choir, string quartet and piano).
Intervening as soloists: Abigail Sardón (soprano), Ramon Andreu i Ricardo Duato (violins), Maria Jose Gomez de la Vega (viola), Dmitry Struchkov (cello) and Andreu Riera (piano).
