Angel Pascual Rodrigo was born in 1951 in Mallen (Zaragoza) and since 1982 he lives and works in Campanet, which means he spent half his life in Mallorca. An event he wants to celebrate with three different deliveries in as many places near to the artist, all under the title of Mitja vida (Half Life).
The first show is celebrated in the Espai d'Art 32 of Pollença, a place that symbolizes the epicenter of the visual arts in Mallorca. In the works shown are represented landscapes of Cala Murta, Cavall Bernat, Lo Pi or Formentor. He uses different techniques, from pen on paper and oil on canvas to hand-printed lithographs with stone matrix on paper.
In the seventies, he and his brother Vicente created the Hermandad Pictórica (Pictorial Brotherhood), a graphic and pictorial team that operated until 1989. Although at the first stage the paintings they both signed were in the wake of pop-art, but with a social and political character, the latter is characterized by a firm commitment to the landscape.
