Flamenco returns to the program of the Festival of Pollença represented by one of the most respected singers of the moment, Miguel Poveda from Barcelona. He is joined by Juan Gómez 'Chicuelo' (guitar), Joan Albert Amargós (piano) and Paquito González (percussion) in a program consisting of flamenco song and copla.
Without Andalusian origins (his father's mother Mancha and Murcia), Flamenco forms part of the music of Miguel Poveda since his beginnings, but he also experiments with other genres. In 1993 he won four of the five awards from the National Festival del Cante de las Minas de la Union (Murcia), which was a major leap in his fledgling career.
He would reach his final consecration in 2007 when he was awarded with the National Music Prize of Spain. He has published twelve solo albums and collaborated on more than fifty albums of other artists.
