The Ballet Nacional de Uruguay, which in 2015 celebrates its 80th anniversary, presents this show with art direction by Julio Bocca and choreography by Wainrot Mauritius. Based on Handel's Messiah, is a collective work that connects us with our spiritual side. Dance as a vehicle to activate something so subtle.
The Argentine dancer Julio Bocca (Buenos Aires, 1967) directs this ballet since March 2010, when President Jose Mujica of Uruguay appointed him director of the Cuerpo de Baile del Sobre, a step further in the career of an artist who started dancing when he was four years old.
In 1990 he formed his own company, the Ballet Argentino, and throughout his career he has received awards such as Tanni Gino Prize or the prize awarded by the American Association of Dance for Best International Star Dancer of Classical Dance.
