'El Mercader de Venècia'

The German director and playwright Konrad Zschiedrich signs this version of The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare, focusing on the movements of capital and the meaning of money and law. A work with which the Bard of Avon anticipated the emergence of an individualistic society dominated by economic power.

This adaptation into Catalan, an Eix 49 production, is performed by Sílvia Forns (Salarino, Jésica, Portia), Àlvar Triay (Antonio, Lancelot, Salanio), Mercè Managuerra (Salanio, Shylock) and Damià Plensa (Bassanio, Salarino). Catalan language. Recommended age: from 14 years old.
