After spending a short time away from the stage, the versatile actress, singer and dancer Beatriz Rico returns with this comedy in the form of monologue released in 2008 which now travels the Spanish theaters on its tour of 2013.
Mejor viuda que mal casada (Better a widow then unhappily married) is the brainchild of Juanjo Miigica, with text by the actress herself in collaboration of Solomon. The musical direction corresponds to Paco Zarate, member of the Spanish pop-rock group La Caja de Pandora.
It tells the adventures and misadventures of Patricia, who as a child suffered for being very ugly and now converted into a superwoman and devourer of men, decides to take justice into her own hands. During the ninety minutes the play lasts, Beatriz Rico pinpoints a text with wordgames, much mischief and sexual experiences combined with cabaret songs.
