The company Versus Teatre stages this free adaptation by Analia Puentes based on the book by Stefan Zweig Maria Antonieta. Directed by Jessica Walter, the production received the Best Lighting and Best Set Design Award at the Mostra't-CC Festival, Parc Sandaru in Barcelona.
An original text by the actress Analia Puentes, who interprets her character from various sources: the biography written by Zweig, original letters from Marie Antoinette and her family, and newspaper pamphlets of the time.
The work recounts her stormy arrival at Versailles, her frustration at her husband's coldness, her passionate affair with Count Von Fersen, her fall from grace - swept away by the wave of the popular uprising - and her trial and execution in 1793. Language: Castilian.
