A documentary by Agustí Torres which portrays the creative process of the painter Miquel Barceló in the dome of the hall of the Human Rights and Alliance of Civilizations of the headquarters of the United Nations (UN) in Geneva.
What was to be a portrait of the art of the Mallorcan painter finally converted into a documentary with a huge narrative tension, a result of the problems generated by the artist to shape an area of 1,000 square meters.
Within days of starting the work, Barceló realized that the technical means were failing, which almost makes him abandon this ambitious project. When the artistic pitfalls were overcome Barceló’s dome became a sea of colors and stalactites, with a kind of wave which runs through the work from north to south symbolizing a hope to renew the world’s geopolitical relations.
