This is the latest project of director Andrés Lima, one of the architects of the renovation of the concepts of staging the Spanish theater. Los Mácbez, starring Carmen Machi, premiered last March in Teatro María Guerrero in Madrid and, after passing through the festivals La Niebla, Almagro and Olite, now comes to the Teatre Principal de Palma.
It is an adaptation of Shakespeare's classic, revised by the author and playwright Juan Cavestany, which involved four companies related to performing arts and communication. The Mácbez speaks of the power of the couple, for better and worse. How far two human beings are able to go to achieve their ambitions.
With Carmen Machi in the role of Lady Mácbez, the cast is completed by Javier Gutiérrez, Chema Adeva, Jesus Barranco, Laura Gallan, Rebeca Montero and Rulo Pardo.
