Directed by Roman Polanski in 1971, Macbeth is a movie made in England with a script by Polanski and Kenneth Tynan, based on the homonimous tragedy by William Sakespeare.
Macbeth is visited by three witches who prophesy that one day he will be king. Leveraging that King Duncan is staying at his home, and spurred on by his wife, Macbeth murders him and is proclaimed king of Scotland. However, to stay on the throne, he will be forced to continue committing more crimes.
It is screened in the original English version subtitled in Spanish within the cycle Les nits gòtiques (Gothic nights).
