This zarzuela with music by Federico Moreno Torroba and libretto by Federico Romero and Guillermo Fernández-Sarachaga -Shaw Iturralde opens the XXVIII Opera and Ballet Season. It is a production of the Teatre Principal de Palma, with stage direction by Pablo Lopez and musical direction by Luis Remartínez.
It is interpreted by Maria Jose Perello, Jose Manuel Sanchez, Isabel Glen, César San Martín, Laura Pons, Pere Joan Costa, Inma Hidalgo, Roger Berenguer, Joan Carles Torrens Bestard and Miquel Angel, among others. Participating will be the Cor de Teatre Principal and the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands 'Ciutat de Palma'.
Luisa Fernanda is a lyric comedy in three acts first performed at the Teatro Calderón in Madrid on March 26, 1932. In it, the protagonist is torn between her boyfriend Javier Moreno, a liberal military, and her suitor Vidal, monarchical and landowner from Extremadura.
