The Coral Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB), directed by Nuria Cunillera Salas, presents the concert Llum i Or, an entirely a cappella program that takes its title from the work Lux aurumque, by the North American composer Eric Whitacre.
The program consists of two parts: one consisting of sacred works from the 20th and 21st centuries, by composers such as Francis Poulenc and Josep Vila y Casañas, among others; and the second, by popular songs from all over the world, from Ethiopia to South America and North America. We will also find some small surprises.
