Since its premiere in 2005 in Düsseldorf this program, which pianist Thilo Schölpen now presents in Mallorca, has toured major electronic music festivals and in autumn passed through the festival Spectrum in New York, held in Brooklyn.
In Kraftwerk-Klavier, Thilo Schölpen plays his transcriptions of the work of Kraftwerk, an edgy musical project created in Germany in 1970 and regarded as the origin of electronic music, as they were the first to play music based entirely on the use of electronic instruments.
The music is accompanied by a live performance of interactive video by German artist Peter Issig.
