‘Kiken_2023’

Neus Nadal won the 2023 edition of the Mallorca Prize for Playwriting with Kiken_2023. A captivating, chat-paced story, frenetic at times, that focuses on the problems of social media use, grooming, and the dangers hidden behind the comfortable anonymity provided by the virtual world.

Paula is a teenager who has just been given a cell phone. Through her experiences, the dangers of the virtual world come to light. Soon, Paula will see how the device that was supposed to connect her to the world isolates her from reality, family, friends, and studies, and plunges her into an abyss of incommunicability, loneliness, and fear.

Kiken_2023 is a Teatro Principal co-production with Neus Nadal and Toni-Lluís Reyes, starring Lluqui Herrero, Catalina Florit, and Lulu Cormican. Language: Catalan. Recommended age: 12 years and older.
