The actor and director Mario Gas gets into the skin of Julius Caesar in this new version of the classic by William Shakespeare directed by Paco Azorin. Since its opening in May 2013, the work has reaped great success at festivals like Merida or at the Festival del Castillo de Niebla in Seville, one of the most acclaimed productions of this season.
Julius Caesar is considered the first of the five best tragedies that Shakespeare wrote. Based on historical facts, it recreates the conspiracy against the Roman dictator Julius Caesar, his assassination and the aftermath that this produced.
Along with Mario Gas, born in Montevideo in 1947 and one of the great actors and theater directors from Spain, part of the cast will be Sergio Peris Mencheta (Marco Antonio), Tristan Ulloa (gross), José Luis Alcobendas (Casio), Agus Ruiz (Casca), Pau Cholera (Decius), Carlos Martos (Metellus) and Peter Chamizo (Octavio).
