This exhibition is reminiscent of the Mallorcan poet Bartomeu Rossello-Porcel marking the first centenary of his birth. It is organized by the College Ramon Llull of Barcelona, where once stood the Residencia de Estudiantes in which the writer spent his entire adult life, from age 17 until his death in 1938.
That same year was published the posthumous collection of poems Imitació del foc, which now is the title of this exhibition focused on the period 1930-1938. It was in this period that Rossello-Porcel also wrote Nou poemes (1933) and Quaderns de sonets (1934).
The exhibition brings together a lot of very diverse material, from poems illustrated by various artists and audiovisual of personal documents such as letters, university transcripts and extensive bibliography.
