Pep Girbent (Soller, 1966) sets this exhibition from the interplay between painting and text, with which he explores a play space that allows the work to expand beyond the limits of the canvas, in a subtle way, eluding rough maneuvers.
In the past, Girbent proposed two (apparently) identical paintings corresponding in one sense. Now he presents two separate pictures for each painting.
The stories produced by the artist are saturated with cinematographic, literary and philosophical references which aspire to their own coherence. Independent of the visual reference and the pictorial fact, the comments help to hide the mechanisms of creation of the artist.
