‘GÜELCOME Water resistant’

This dramatized route is a performative and participatory proposal on the problem of tourism through interventions, tours and installations in public spaces. Led by the Güilis Collective and the Baldío Collective.

The project seeks to reflect on the problem of the transformation that the town of Santanyí is experiencing due to current tourism models, emphasizing how this affects the territory and the community that inhabits it.

In addition, it opens the debate between tourists and immigrants, two groups often perceived in an opposite way: while tourists are welcomed, immigrants are often marginalized. This performative device invites us to rethink these dynamics in order to build a more inclusive and respectful town.
