With dramaturgy and direction by Pere M. Mestre, Estudi Zero Teatre presents El gran teatre d’Oklahoma. A production based on texts by Franz Kafka that focuses on humour, irony and sarcasm of his work and that contradicts the dark and distressing vision that we have of it.
El gran teatre d’Oklahoma is not an anthology of fragments of Kafka’s work: these have been assembled, ‘mounted’ in a unitary plot, in a situation that is affirmed as coherent – ‘Kafkaesque’ coherence – and that results from the interaction of five characters, in a specific time and space, which also coincide.
Performed by Pepa Ramon, Dominic Hull, Lourdes Erroz, Pere Mestre and Laura Dalmau.
